Three months later, I know I’ve adapted and I know I’m still not aiming as confidently. The old 3366 versions felt more direct when first comparing. I have begun to have doubts about the iteration of the HERO sensor in the G502.Scroll has more lateral wobble than original.I can hold my own, but there is a significant improvement in FPS performance when using the 80 gram GPro Wireless. Seems intentional, but should be reversed. Left tilt is rather easy to activate and requires less force than right tilt.Usually light actuation is a good thing in my book, but I found that the left tilt would often register when pressing the scroll. Both tilt buttons on the scroll were significantly easier to actuate. There is not a ton of change here to justify a purchase over the (much) cheaper Proteus Spectrum.Cable is now “adequate” in terms of size and flexibility (not the case before this iteration). It’s a small thing, but for some reason, it counts for more than it should with me. The nicest left mouse comfort groove of any mouse I’ve tried.Good for small and med fingertip, small and med palm. Easy to pick up and maneuver despite its weight, thanks in part to some of the best rubber side grips out there.Few people are going to complain about the sensor. A dream for daily driving and many types of games. Primary clicks are lighter with no rattle compared to earlier G502 versions.
Software is easy to use…if you stay away from G Hub.The logo on my mouse now matches my Logitech keyboard. But you can hardly blame Logitech for staying with a winning formula. A wasted opportunity to make the mouse better? Perhaps. It’s still the exact same G502 ergo that many people love.
